Armação de Pêra is a small Portuguese town in the district of Silves and another appealing place on the Algarvian coast. It is located between Gale and Benagil.

Armacao de Pera is the fishermen’s place, but during the summer season it becomes very busy and transforms into a touristic area. Armacao de Pera is famous for the biggest natural reef in Portugal and you’ll see many visitors taking pictures around it; also popular for the trips in small typical fisherman boats done by the fishermen themselves, along the nearby cliffy beaches and caves where only these small boats can get in.

Like many others coastal towns, Armacao de Pera has religious local holidays, celebrating the days of its Saints and protectors, Nossa Senhora dos Navegantes (Our Lady of the Navigators) and Nossa Senhora dos Aflitos (Our Lady of the Distressed).
